AEO

Meerendonk as coordinator of international supply chains has a great responsibility when safety and tracebility of goods in the supply chains is concerned. A logical result of this is the participation in the 2007 AEO pilot initiated by the Dutch Customs. Meerendonk was among the first logistics service providers in the Netherlands to seek certification as an Authorised Economic Operator (AEO). AEO-certified companies meet strict EU criteria relating to their control systems, financial solvency and compliance record and are eligible for simplified customs procedures.

As an AEO certified company, we will therefore be even better able to optimise your supply chain. As managers of the entire supply chain and providers of origin logistics services, we aim to meet AEO standards from the country of origin all the way to the retailer. For our customers, the problem of the so-called “unknown supplier” will be a thing of the past. In April 2008 we received this AEO certifcate as one of the first companies in the Netherlands.
