Meerendonk participant AEO pilot
Meerendonk is one of the participants in the 2007 AEO pilot organised by Dutch Customs, and is scheduled to become AEO-certified in 2008. Being certified by the EU as an Authorised Economic Operator means the company meets the EU’s strict security and compliance standards and ranks for simplified customs procedures. During the past months the company’s AEO Team has been working around the clock to meet Customs’ demands. The team started with a self-assessment which gave Meerendonk the opportunity to review its own procedures and regulations. After the review, it was time to check internal registration procedures. From now on everyone who enters the company’s headquarters will be registered,and our employees will all have there own RFID entrance pass.
